A Different Therapy Experience

Everchanging is a private outpatient mental health counseling practice incorporating experiential Adventure Therapy into counseling services for individuals of all ages, families of all sizes, and people of all paths of life.

Everchanging empowers people to engage in whole-person change through authentic and interactive experiences both in the office and outdoors to help navigate through processes of change.

Our main focus is reconnection – to the process of change and purpose, to your authentic self, and to what and who you love – by creating a space to learn and grow that fits who you are and your unique needs.

Adventure Therapy

Office Meetings

For first sessions we’ll meet in person in Rocky River or via video, and after that we can meet in whatever location best suits our work together and matches your needs and preferences.

Nature Sessions

Walk-and-talk sessions on paths and trails, sessions in the park sitting under trees or by creeks and lakes, or even finding a tree to climb into for our session, we collaborate with Nature to enhance our sessions.

Adventure Work

We practice and process through challenge activities, somatic mindfulness practice, active communication activities, and other forms of doing in addition to talk-based processes.

Collaboration

Our values of Acceptance, Adaptation, Adventure, Assertive communication, and Authenticity guide everything we do, starting with our initial meeting and continuing throughout our work together.

What is a Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist (CCAT)?

A CCAT is a Clinical Certified Adventure Therapist, this is a title for a certification that demonstrates competency and supervised experience in Adventure Therapy, regulated by the Association for Experiential Education (AEE).

Will we always meet outside?

Our first session will be either at the office or via telehealth, but after that where we meet is up to you, we’ll collaborate to decide what is best for your therapy needs.

What if there’s inclement weather?

Where we meet is always up to you, but if there is severe weather or possibly unsafe temperatures or conditions we’ll collaborate on where to have our session or to reschedule if necessary.

Is there and additional charge for meeting outside the office?

All locations are the same rate (office, park, telehealth), but Nosotros Climbing Sessions do require shoe rental and admission (first time climbers and Nosotros Members do not have to pay admission).

Can we meet in any park we choose?

Because safety is always a priority, we will meet in parks where Everchanging has approval and knowledge of the park/trails, currently these include Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Lakewood Parks, and Cascade Park in Elyria.

Does Everchanging take insurance?

Therapy is an investment, and having a provider who is a good fit with an effective approach for you means everything in therapy. Everchanging is a self-pay only practice so we can customize therapy to your unique needs. We do accept HSA/FSA payments and offer Superbills.
